You can still find Halo 5 files in Infinite. Believe me, if it took 6 years to build Halo infinite I can't even phantom what it would take to start from nothing and recreate the Halo feel. You would try to test a new weapon but you don't even have the system of shooting a gun in place. That is what building it from scratch with EU4 would do. Splitspace is more of a marketing term than anything, they just tried to make it a point they were improving a lot of their systems.

The BLAM engine of HALO CE was probably vastly different than when Halo Reach came out. I bet other people know some more details of what overhauls were actually done.Д«ut 343 is a big team, so you have people doing their normal work while the services they need are being reworked. Making new builds to test content would take an enormous time and made content creation a pain in the butt. An example I think I remember is their content pipeline, which was awful for them. When we say 343 did an engine overhaul, it simply means they picked parts of the BLAM engine that were not working as well and tried to improve them. I know you got some answers but there's a ton of misconceptions when it comes to Splitspace engine so let me try to help. It sucks honestly, but it is what it is, you know? Can't really control the deadly pandemic nor how it completely shifted everything with game development Add in the fact that the game is likely using UE5 and UE5 itself was more than likely also had a delayed release because of Covid, and you can see that it's really not their fault.

Then Covid obviously locked everything down in mid March 2020 and development was slowed down significantly as the team couldn't really scale up very well and had to work out how to develop entirely from home. For Avowed, we have reason to believe that the game was greenlit and started development shortly after their acquisition (so, early 2019) and planning for E3 happens at the beginning of the year, so they probably started making the trailer in like March 2020 or even earlier to have it ready for June. I won't mind a Hellblade 2 gameplay trailer or announcement or two at the VGAs, but for stuff like Avowed or other games, I feel like they'll likely be better off announced at E3 where they can get room to breathe.Д®h, I'm not so sure that's entirely their fault though honestly. I agree, I just want them to do enough to keep the hype up, and then at E3 give everything the time that it deserves to be showcased properly.

Consoles are also still selling out pretty much as soon as they're coming in stock, with the exception of the Series S, but even that's still been selling like hotcakes and constantly out of stock even if it takes a bit longer.ДЄlso worth pointing out that the period in which Game Pass didn't meet it's target also had no day one first party games, which also more than likely hurt it's performance, though that won't be an issue anymore. It didn't meet one KPI even though it had exceeded almost all others, during a time when there are so many unknowns about pretty much everything related to gaming moving forward. Eh, Game Pass is more than likely doing great.
